Saturday, September 5
Confessions at St. Louise have been cancelled
Confessions will still be held at Saint Joan of Arc from Noon-12:30pm.
The 7:00am Mass on Monday, September 7 has been cancelled due to the Labor Day holiday.
Worship Aid for Mass
This Sunday, September 6 we are providing a new Worship Aid resource for Mass, whether you attend in person or watch via live stream. This will include the songs that will be sung, the readings for Mass, and select prayers. We hope you enjoy this new resource!
Worship Aid for September 5/6
Also, for those attending Mass in person, the songs and readings will be available in the first two pages of the bulletin. If you pick up a bulletin on the way into Mass, you can follow along using this
worship aid, if you prefer. (
But if you use this option, please be sure to take your bulletin with you when you leave church
, since we can't collect them and redistribute them once someone has handled them.)
Virtual Parish Assembly
Please take a moment to consider the following information as we move closer to the January 2021 merger of Saint Joan of Arc and Saint Louise de Marillac Parishes:
Virtual Parish Assembly.
You are invited to view our Virtual Parish Assembly. As of September 4, our Virtual Parish Assembly has been posted on Facebook and our parish website. (scroll down a bit to find the link via the yellow button). This presentation can help you to stay informed about the merger process.
Providing Feedback Regarding the Virtual Parish Assembly.
Your parish clergy, staff and the combined Pastoral Council would very much like to hear your thoughts concerning the Virtual Parish Assembly -- your comments, questions, suggestions, etc., regarding the life of our faith community. You can provide this electronically by using the form on our website (click on the green button below)
Submissions must be received by September 16
Helping to Discern a Name for Our New Combined Parish.
You are encouraged to participate in the final phase of proposing names for our new combined parish. We have received a response from Bishop Zubik regarding the fifteen names we submitted for his initial review (names that were taken from the many suggestions put forth by parishioners).
From the eleven names that were approved
, we are to submit five final names for the Bishop’s consideration. The names and the naming process is discussed in more detail in the
Virtual Parish Assembly
. Members of the combined Pastoral Council will review all the feedback and submit to Bishop Zubik a list of the top five names, from which he will select the new, official name. We will be notified of that name toward the end of November.
Please keep our entire parish grouping in prayer. We are grateful for your support and involvement in these endeavors.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Dan Maurer and Fr. Jon Brzek

SCHOOL MASSES WILL RESUME
As our school resumes classes, we will also begin to have School Masses again.
, at our
9:00 AM Mass
, we will welcome part of our school population. To maintain safe numbers, and to allow other people not connected with the school to attend, only 2 grades will join us in church each week. (We will be streaming the Mass to the rest of the students still back in their classrooms, so that they can participate as well.) Those who are particularly cautious about being present at events with a larger number of people should be mindful of this if they wanted to attend Mass at that time. Another day or time might be better.
We have resumed our Tuesday Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in St. Louise de Marillac church. Each Tuesday, Exposition will begin immediately following the 9:00 am Mass and end with Prayers for Healing and Benediction at 7:30 pm.
We urgently need folks to commit to adoring our Lord inside St Louise de Marillac between 10:00 am - 8:00 pm. Please click on the button below to view the online sign up sheet.

A reminder that the rosary is usually prayed at 6:30 pm and confessions are from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm as well.

We appreciate your continued compliance with our Diocesan directives on safely attending Mass and church service. We realize that this can be burdensome to some and are grateful for your patience so that we can keep our churches open.
Just a reminder, the directives are as follows:
Our churches are limited to 25% capacity (i.e. no more than 200 people at St. Louise de Marillac and no more than 110 people at St. Joan of Arc.)
Some type of mask/covering MUST be worn over one's nose and mouth when entering the church and at all times when inside, even when seated.
Hand sanitizer is to be used upon entering the church.
Six feet of distance from others should be maintain throughout the Mass and when approaching Communion. (This does not apply to members of your immediate household -- e.g. spouse, siblings, parents, those you live with.)
The fact that everyone has been cooperating with these requirements is truly gratifying and much appreciated! Such consideration helps to limit the possibility of spreading infection and, thus, gets us closer to the time when we can put all this behind us!
